About Me

RebeccaRebecca is a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in individual, couples and family therapy and maintains a private practice in Kansas City, Missouri.

With over twenty five years experience as a marriage and family therapist, and as a graduate of the Master's program in Psychology at UMKC with a clinical emphasis and then taking additional clinical training at Avila University specializing in Counseling, she is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are anxiety disorders, depression, sexual. physical and verbal abuse, PTSD, couples/marital counseling, divorce counseling, behavior modification for children and their parents, OCD, asperger's disorder, pain management, aging issues, midlife issues, grief issues, skill building for living and dating when single, heartbreak and recovery issues and PTSD.

Rebecca is an interactive, solution-focused therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.

Rebecca is a member of The American Counseling Asscociation and The North American Association of Masters in Psychology. Rebecca was certified as a Forensic counselor with the National Association of Forensic Counselors ( during her membership in 1995 and 1996). Rebecca has run a group for the treatment of anxiety disorders and OCD.
